WATERS EDGE PROJECTS

Over a dozen clubs in our district joined a multi-district project: the Great Lakes Watershed Cleanup to celebrate Earth Day on April 24, 2021.  Clubs in both the U.S. and Canada that border the Great Lakes and their tributaries took part.

The New Hartford, Utica and Sauquoit Clubs and Boy Scout Troop $4,      in conjunction with the Town of New Hartford cleaned up the                   Sauquoit CreekRiverbank at the Washington Mills Athletic Park and        along route 8.

Examples of other projects relating to the waters edge are those foccusing on plastic pollution.   End Plastic Soup is a project of the Amsterdam club in the Netherlands that invites our participation.
